On Thursday the results of the survey were delivered to administrator Michael Kniepp.
One of the questions surveyed community opinion of the new council’s name with only 32 per cent of those surveyed being in favour of the Western Plains Regional Council name, with the majority preferring Dubbo Regional Council or Dubbo Macquarie Regional Council.
“I would like to pass on my thanks and appreciation to all the Wellington and Dubbo staff of the Western Plains Regional Council,” Mr Grant said
