An LLS bulletin late on Wednesday said:
Current region specific flood warnings
As at 3:30pm Wednesday 20 July 2016, the Bureau of Meteorology has flood warnings in place for the Macquarie, Bell and Bogan Rivers.
· There is currently minor flooding along the Bell River at Wellington where a moderate peak is expected tomorrow morning;
· Minor flooding is also expected along the Macquarie River at Dubbo tonight, rising to moderate by tomorrow morning;
· Due to high rainfall in the past 24 hours, moderate flooding is expected at Peak HIll this afternoon.
What should I do?
Where safe to do so based on current conditions:
· Move stock to higher ground, away from known flood prone areas that won't be cut off from access;
· If access may be cut make sure there is sufficient fodder available on site to sustain stock for an extended period;
· Source agistment if possible, in the local area;
· Move stock early, as roads may be closed and access limited;
· Avoid having to do anything with stock in water;
· Lift pumps and move machinery and equipment to higher ground;
· Ensure fodder supplies/storage's are accessible;
· Never drive, ride or walk through floodwater;
· In a life-threatening emergency call 000 (triple zero);
· For emergency help in floods and storms, call the NSW SES on 132 500;
· Listen to the designated emergency broadcaster ABC Central West and/ or your local radio for further information;
· Some roads in the region have been affected. For comprehensive road closure information contact your local council or go to the Live Traffic NSW website;
· For rural animal and livestock assistance contact your nearest Local Land Services Office on 1300 795 299; and
