Players who are under-15s to 18s can nominate for the program which is co-ordinated by the ARU High Performance Unit.
The Junior Gold Program operates in 25 locations across the country including six other regional NSW locations and three centres in metropolitan Sydney.
The central west program will be based out of Charles Sturt University at Bathurst with midweek satellite locations at Kinross Wolaroi School at Orange and St John's College at Dubbo.
Western Region development manager Mark DeBrincat said: "It is fabulous to have the CSU School of Human Movement on board again. They will assist in delivering the latest in strength and conditioning techniques to our players."
Applications close this Friday October 19 and selection trials are set for Sunday, November 4.
Further information can be obtained by calling Mark DeBrincat on 0416 233 830.
DeBrincat confirmed former Wallaby James Grant will again be head coach.
"We have assembled an outstanding group of coaches who have all had representative coaching experience with a variety of teams," DeBrincat said.
"We would be keen to hear from players regardless of where they play their rugby. Whether it be at one of the independent schools like Kinross, Stannies, Scots or All Saints or whether you play in the Central West competition we would encourage players who have the ability and desire to be a part of the program to nominate.
"We are also interested in hearing from talented sportsman for whom rugby isn't their main sport at the moment.
"Perhaps they have played some school games and are keen to measure their skills in this environment.
"There is flexibility in our delivery as well, if there are boys from the Western Plains who are selected we can tailor the program to suit them by bringing them into Dubbo when it is possible."
With Rugby 7s part of the 2016 Olympics there is an opportunity for players to specialise in this form of the game.
The Junior Gold Program, as well identifying potential players for Super Rugby or the Wallabies, will now provide a springboard for higher 7s opportunities.
