The conditions were far from perfect at Dubbo Pistol Club last Saturday but nine members still lined up for the 50 Metre Rifle match.

Kevin Sippel was the standout and topped the charts with an impressive 598 (593, 5).
Doug Jump and Ned Worthington then shared second with 595 (583, 12) and 595 (582, 13) respectively.
Peter Caligeros grabbed third with 593 (587, 6). Other results were Marg Stevens 583 (558, 25), Warren Johnson 577 (574, 3) and Geoff Luck 540 (502, 38) while Chris and John Slapp were in training.
While the weather wasn’t much better on Sunday there was another good turnout at the Centrefire/Sports Pistol.
There were 13 in total on the range and all were treated to some quality shooting.
Adam Bell produced the performance of the day in the Centrefire and finished in first place with a score of 574 (430, 144). Second was Richard Wheatley with 552 (460, 92) and Ned Williams came in third with 479 (179,300). John Cohen also participated and shot 395 (277, 118).
Michael Ryan blew the handicapper out of the water in Sports Pistol taking first with a monumental 668 (428, 240). That was a stellar performance but equally noteworthy was Michael Cowen’s effort in finishing in second place with an eye-catching 622 (322, 300)
Third place went to Geoff Luck with a neat 600 (434, 166). Other results were John Salter 558 (456, 102), Phil Toynton 502 (295, 207), Sebastian Causey 390 (90, 300), Peter Howell 562 (540, 22) and Dennis Hutchins 422, who visiting the club.
Everyone at the club also thought it was great to see Max Fraser back at the range and in training.
This coming weekend will be the first of the month so Standard Pistol will be the match of the day on Sunday.
