Emergency services were called to Wollar Road just before midnight on Friday (10 June 2016), after a Ford Festiva struck a wombat before hitting an embankment and flipping.
Fourteen-year-old Jackie Omalveney was the passenger in the vehicle and died at the scene.
The driver, a 16-year-old male, suffered serious head injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.
He was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he died about 11am on Sunday.
Jackie's family on Saturday set up a GoFundMe page to help his mother raise funds for his funeral.
The page shared photographs and messages from people who have donated. On Sunday morning it had raised over $3000.
Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
