EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a crash at Eumungerie that has prompted the closure of the Newell Highway.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics were called to a site 3km north of the village about 1pm.
He confirmed several people had been treated at the scene and at least one person was taken by ambulance to Dubbo Hospital.
Diversions had been put in place, with motorists unable to use the Newell Highway to travel between Dubbo and Gilgandra.
The NSW Traffic Management Centre described the crash as "serious" and advised motorists to allow extra time for travel.
Motorists travelling north on the Newell Highway were being diverted via Tomingley-Narromine Road to Narromine, the Mitchell Highway to Trangie, and then Trangie-Collie Road and the Oxley Highway to Gilgandra.
Motorists wanting to travel north from the Golden or Mitchell highways were diverting at Dubbo via the Mitchell Highway to Trangie via Narromine, and then Trangie-Collie Road and the Oxley Highway to Gilgandra.
Motorists travelling south on the Newell Highway were diverting at Gilgandra via the Oxley Highway and Trangie Collie Road to Trangie, and then the Mitchell Highway via Narromine to Dubbo.
