Amberlilly is one of three dancers from Western NSW and will join Cowra High's Imajen James and Jesse Murray to perform as members of the elite NSW Public Schools Aboriginal Dance Company.
Specialist Programs director Bill Anderson said being chosen to dance with the NSW Public Schools Aboriginal Dance Company was a major accomplishment for these emerging dancers.
"Each member was selected as a promising dancer from workshops conducted around the state," Mr Anderson said.
"As members of the company they are mentored by the Bangarra Dance Theatre, which is recognised as Australia's leading Indigenous performing arts organisation.
"They learn a contemporary Indigenous dance repertoire from some of Bangarra's leading artists.
"Through regular workshops in Sydney including at the Bangarra Dance Theatre, they are trained to perform at the highest level."
The Company is a partnership between the Department of Education Arts Unit and the renowned Bangarra Dance Theatre.
Mr Anderson said the Company was already featured at the Netball World Cup Opening Ceremony in August and would be the centrepiece of a segment in the Schools Spectacular at the Qantas Credit Union Arena on November 27 and 28.
