WPCC manager Andrew Glassop said visitor suggestions constantly requested the WPCC open every day.
"Through some internal operational changes we have been able to achieve this without impact on the budget," Mr Glassop said.
"The new opening hours will be welcomed by tourists, as well as local residents with young children or families looking for a free weekday experience. "Come school holidays, families with school-age children will also have more flexibility to be able to choose to include a visit to the WPCC." Mr Glassop said the galleries and Outlook cafe would be open until 6pm on Friday.
