More commonly known as Flic to her friends, Ms Brown will be taking 30 of her finest millinery pieces from her Hats by Felicity collection for her very own fashion show on September 11.
While this is will be the second time Brown has shown her designs in the widely acclaimed fashion show, it is her first time riding solo as a designer.
Brown said she hoped her upcoming trip would see a number of her items break into the fashion, film and television markets.
"To me, hats and fascinators are wearable art," she said.
Brown spent seven years living and working in Dubbo, where she made a group of lifelong friends.
Although she is currently based in Broome in Western Australia, it didn't stop Brown's Dubbo friends coming together on Saturday to toast a flute of bubbly to their friend's success and donate some money to fund her trip.
"It's going to cost at least $2000 for her to fly all her collection items to New York," friend Melissa McGilvray said.
"If a few of us getting together will help contribute to that then why not."
The ladies said they were all fond of Brown's designer flair.
"The environment is her inspiration," friend Belinda Nugent said.
Brown was overjoyed of her friends' support when she spoke to the Daily Liberal.
"It's such a fine example of what good friends do," she said.
