A lack of members has forced the club to shut down, but they emptied their bank account recently and this week presented a cheque for $1906.64 to juniors president Tony Holman and vice-president Mark O'Donnell.
The presentation took place on Tuesday, while the next wave of Roos were training at Victoria Park ahead of semi-finals on Saturday.
"We're winding up after 15 years so we decided that we would pass whatever funds we had on to the junior club, that way it is going to the future of rugby," Roo Teds member Paul Reid said.
"We decided we wanted it to go to the younger ones, to give them something solid to go in their clubhouse.
"Unfortunately we're down to about four or five of us, and we just don't have the numbers to go on. It's disappointing because we've travelled to Edinburgh, Wellington in New Zealand, Brisbane and Adelaide to world festivals every four years but we just couldn't sustain the numbers
"We tried to find a new group of some younger guys to pass the baton on to, and we played Roo Teds v Grey Rhinos games but it just couldn't be sustained."
With almost $2000 finding its way into the coffers of the junior rugby club, a decision has been made that the money will be spent on buying some food warmers for the new clubhouse that has been built between No.2 and No.3 ovals.
"We think that is a great idea," Reid said.
"It's not going to go into funding an overseas tour, they're going to spend the money on material things that can help them remain sustainable long term and will stay with the club."
