Six schools battled it out in the Primary School Choir section, years 3 to 6, for the R & J Perpetual Trophy and prize money donated by Choices Flooring Dubbo.
Dubbo Christian School, Buninyong Public School, MAGS Junior School Choir, St Laurence's Primary School, Dubbo South Public School and Nyngan Public School took to the stage in what was a test on not only vocal pitch, but also enunciation and presentation.
But, alas, there could only be one winner, which adjudicator, Sarah Marshall, awarded to St Laurence's Primary School.
Nyngan Public School came in at second place, followed by Dubbo Christian School with third.
While the choir of more than 100 students held the trophy at the end, Ms Marshall said she was impressed by the high standard presented to her by all the schools.
"I'd like to thank all the students who got up on stage today," she said.
"The sounds that were produced were just beautiful."
The second day of vocal and choral section did not disappoint, with 6 years and under taking to the stage to present their nursery rhyme in costume.
There were an assortment of characters as far as eye could see, but two 'egg-cellent' costumes stood out to the Daily Liberal.
Both in the same kindergarten class at St Mary's, Jake McCarthy and Archie Dickson tried their luck sitting on the fateful wall as Humpty Dumpty.
While the two classmates were not placed, both agreed they had enjoyed their time in the limelight and dressing up in their costumes.
