Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 - Catch for Cash. With about $2500 worth of cash prizes and fishing equipment, it would be silly not to head down to the Garden Hotel on Thursday between 5pm and 8pm to register. All fish back in by 5pm Saturday May 30 with presentation to be held after at 7pm. Cost is $10 per person.

Saturday, May 30 - Shell Questacon Science Circus Public Exhibition at the Dubbo Showgrounds from 10am to 3pm. The Dubbo Showgrounds will be overflowing with exciting hands-on science exhibits when the Science Circus and their colourful semi-trailer roll into town for a public exhibition of their ‘pop-up’ science centre. Visitors of all ages can enjoy over 40 interactive science exhibits and watch spectacular science shows as Science Circus presenters hold fire in their hands, lie on a bed of nails and levitate beach balls. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students, $18 for a family and free for children under give and Q Club members.
Saturday, May 30 - Lion’s Cub Charity Auction at St Brigid’s Church Hall from 6pm. The Lion’s Club of Dubbo Macquarie and Tooraweenah are holding a charity auction to raise funds to help the victims of the recent Nepal earthquakes to rebuild and recover. Sunday, May 31 - Lazy River’s Pop Up Markets at Lazy River Estate from 10am to 2pm. Pop on out to Lazy River Estate on Sunday 31 May for our Pop-up Markets where you can find handmade jewellery, art, collectables and more. Admission and parking are free. Bring a blanket, spread out on the lawn and enjoy antipasto platters and a glass of wine (or two).
Sunday, May 31 - Dubbo Film Society Film Evening at Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre starting at 4pm. Two films will be screening, Ida, winner of Best Foreign Film in 2015 and Pride, an uplifting musical comedy where Welsh miners and a Gay and Lesbian group unite in a common cause.
