Did you know that 5 - 12 per cent of all cancers can be prevented by eating the right amount of fruit and vegetables? Cancer Council NSW's Eat it to Beat It program wants more Dubbo families to learn about the importance of fruit and vegetables in every day eating. The program aims to give parents simple, practical, and evidence-based advice to get the whole family eating well.
Macquarie Regional Library is hosting a free Fruit and Veg Sense session for parents of primary aged children. In this 90 minute session parents will learn what a "serve" of fruit and veg looks like, how to save money at the shops, how to deal with fussy eaters and much more! Each family who comes along will also receive a free booklet that is packed full of healthy recipes that won't blow the budget.
This session is a must for all parents who want to develop healthy eating habits and good nutrition for their children from a young age. Bookings are essential and places are limited so book today to avoid missing out.
To reserve your place, call Macquarie Regional Library on 6801 4510.
