A joint application for an adjournment was made by the defence and the Crown when a total of 10 charges against the father were mentioned this month.
Most of the brief had been served the previous week but some items were still outstanding, the defence told the court.
Magistrate Claire Girotto ordered the balance of the brief be served by the Crown by May 6, and the matter was adjourned until May 20.
The man, who can not be named for legal reasons, is facing charges of aggravated indecency where the victim was under the age of 16 and under the authority of the accused, six counts of aggravated indecent assault, aggravated sexual assault and two counts of intimidation.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2004 and 2006 at Dubbo.
The man, who no longer lives at Dubbo, was charged in February and a bail application was unsuccessful at the time.
There was no application for his release at the most recent court appearance and he remained remanded in custody.
