The under-13, under-15s and under-17s competitions kick off this Saturday across the central west, with the Blue sides all snagging home games, while the younger age group (under-7s to under-11s) competitions will get under way on Friday, May 1.
The 13s Blues will be up against Orange City, and Dubbo Junior Rugby club president Tony Hollman said that will be the game to watch.
"The 13 Blues play Orange City and that's probably going to be the hardest team they will play all year, because Orange City are traditionally the hardest team we play."
The junior club has 280 players registered so far for 2015, and Hollman said a huge growth in numbers has seen the club become one of the biggest in country NSW.
"I see a lot of other clubs are losing players and numbers are dwindling, but we seem to be doing something right because we just continue to grow," he said.
There has been so much growth, the club has had to "juggle numbers" and create a third under 15s side - the Harlequins.
"There's probably about 63 registrations just in the under-15s," Hollman said.
"It is unusual of late, as numbers in junior sports have been dropping off in recent years."
"We had three [under 15 sides] about 3 years ago."
"I don't think there's any other club in the region that has three teams in all age groups and we have two teams in every age group and three in 15s."
"I don't know what we're doing but we're obviously doing something right, because no other club [in the Central West] has this predicament."
It was the introduction of the Friday night junior competition about seven years ago that triggered the growth in numbers, Hollman said.
"I think we're we've kicked a goal is starting the young ones starting to play."
"That bubble is coming through the front now where we're seeing numbers peaking in the 15s."
And with registration still open, the numbers are set to rise even further.
"I daresay we'll top the 300 mark this year, because historically there's a lot of late registrations with kids telling their mates to join up," Hollman said.
In the weekend's other games, the 13 Reds are heading to Narromine for this weekend's match-up, while the 17 Reds are away to Mudgee.
"We wish all the teams all the best in the season and to develop their rugby, and above all make sure they enjoy their rugby and have fun."
