Around 1,500 people braved 10 kilometres of obstacles for the second Titan Macquarie Mud Run.
Organiser Rod Fardell said there were a range of obstacles to ensure everyone was challenged.
"The hardest obstacle is probably the pits, we've got some really deeps pits and there's the tyre carry that will test a few. If you're not a fan of heights the dump truck will be a test," Mr Fardell said.
"The aim is to learn and grow each year. The obstacles here are as good as any metropolitan course."
Mr Fardell said the response to the event had been fantastic.
"Having the elite run was great, the support for the kids run was enormous, everything's just been amazing," he said.
Last year the Mud Run raised $50,000 and Mr Fardell said part of the funds were used in partnership with Dubbo City Council to extend the Tracker Riley Cycleway into Regand Park.
Mr Fardell said the money raised this year would again go back into the community with more upgrades to Regand Park.
"We want to extend the sheds and extend the shade area, hopefully build some outdoor showers. We're always open to ideas from the community," he said.
"We want to really create things that everyone can enjoy and use."
Mr Fardell said the Mud Run would not have been possible without the participants, supports and the excellent work of the committee.
