DUBBO'S Lincoln County Raceway played host to round two of the national Rotax Pro Tour last weekend and crowds were treated to racing of the highest level.
With the hunt for the NSW State Championship plate and also the race for a seat at the world finals at stake, Sunday's finals saw six brand new winners out of the seven classes.
After high-class and competitive heats on Friday and Saturday, Sunday's finals saw Scott Howard take out the DD2 Masters Division.
BirelART driver Howard, who finished second in his heat to qualify, made an impressive start in the final and got straight to the lead.
That's where he would stay as he went on to claim his first ever overall round in the Pro Tour.
Daniel Richert finished second while Ryan Rannard was third.
Chris Farkas was another to record a first ever overall round win, finishing first in the Rotax Heavy class.
Driver Regan Payne has shown dominance in this division throughout the weekend but in the final Farkas produced a breakaway performance and sped to a 1.5-second win.
Payne was left to finish second while Christopher Board was third.
In the Rotax Light division there was display of driving that was nothing short of dominant from Nicholas Andrews.
Another who claimed a first ever round win, Andrews looked settled throughout the final and went on to win by more than three seconds from Brad Jenner and Daniel Rochford.
Victorian Jason Pringle returned to his trademark DD2 form, claiming a comfortable victory in the final after winning both his heat and pre-final earlier.
He gradually extended his lead throughout the final and his clinical performance was rewarded with a 4.4 second win.
Troy Woolston and Ryan Kennedy filled the minor places.
In the Mini Max final, Praga driver Bayley Douglas used his momentum to great effect and secured victory after 18 laps of close racing, ahead of Nathan Williams and Kai Allen.
It was a NSW lockout of the first two finishing positions in the Junior Max Trophy Class final as Reece Cohen improved further on his initial podium finish in round one at Melbourne to secure victory.
Zac Crichton, who impressed all weekend, finished second while Aaron Love came in third.
Canberra's Zane Morse started the Junior Max final in pole position and it was an intriguing start to the race.
Australian champion Morse got to the lead and went on to claim victory and boost his standings in the Pro Tour further.
After a hugely successful race meeting at Dubbo, the attention now turns to Albury and Wodonga for round three on May 1-3.
