More voters are turning out to pre-poll in Dubbo in 2015 than in 2011, as predicted by the Electoral Commission NSW.
Pre-polling for this year's state election on March 28 began in Dubbo on Monday, March 16.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday a total of 1345 pre-poll votes were cast, compared with 821 for the first three days of pre-polling for the 2011 state election.
Tuesday was the busiest day with 505 pre-poll votes counted, up from 265 on day two of the two weeks of pre-polling before the 2011 election.
The figures reveal that in total 524 more voters turned out in the first three days of polling this year than four years ago.
The commission is projecting that 11,500 pre-poll votes will be cast at the returning officer's office at 34 Talbragar Street Dubbo between March 16 and March 27.
The figure is getting close to twice the 6349 pre-poll votes counted in Dubbo in 2011.
Pre-polling is being conducted in Dubbo between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, although on March 26 the doors at 34 Talbragar Street won't close until 8pm.
This Saturday pre-polling will be conducted between 9am and 5pm.
The returning officer's office will be closed on Sunday.
Pre-polling in the Dubbo electorate is also taking place at Mudgee's St John's Anglican Church where the commission expects 4300 people will come and go after meeting their legal obligation to vote.
The Wellington Civic Hall and Function Centre will host pre-polling from Wednesday, March 25.
