After St Collegians earned a place in the September 8 A-grade grand final following their convincing 59-31 victory over Apollo Degenerates last Saturday, the preliminary final will see Degenerates on the court again, this time against minor semi-final winners Apollo Illusions.
Illusions kept their hopes of a premiership alive with a 43-20 win over St Spartans.
The final will be played on court 11 starting at 1.15pm.
In a gala day for the sport, finals will be played in all grades from 11 years starting at 10.45am. Then on next Saturday, September 8, the best two teams in each grade will play in the grand finals.
Early Sunday morning Dubbo's State League teams will be on the road to Orange for the Graincorp Regional finals.
In Division 1 second placed Dubbo will be against third placed Orange (B) at 10.10am while the unbeaten competition favourites Orange (A) will take on fourth placed Bathurst.
Dubbo and Orange (B) have had two tight games in the preliminary rounds - Dubbo up 35-33 in the first game and Orange hitting back 48-35 just a fortnight ago in the last game.
Should Dubbo get through to the final, they will need to rise to a new level against Orange's top side which has defeated our girls 65-34 and 60-31 in previous encounters.
The final will be played at 12.30pm.
Dubbo's Division 2 team also finished second on the ladder and will play third placed Bathurst at 9am Sunday morning. Parkes is the top side.
Dubbo and Bathurst have met twice this season with Dubbo up 51-41 and Bathurst winning 48-44 on the second occasion. The Division 2 final is at 11.20am.
