The Colts YD bowlers fired early as they defended their total, reducing Souths to 5-39 but the Hornets fought back.
Wood and Craig Giffin had added 13 for the last wicket but Oriel came to the fore and got his side the points.

Colts' Dane Cooper then took three quick Rugby wickets as the run chase faltered and from there the defending premiers struggled before being all out for 108.
CYMS Cougars' batch of youngsters starred again on Saturday, leading the men in green to an eight-wicket win over Newtown.
Juniors Sam Thompson (3-41), Sam Duffy (2-9) and James 'Busta' Nelson (2-23) all did the job with the ball as the Tigers were dismissed for 151, with Chris Lenord (36), Graham Baker (22) and Brett Wrigley (22) the top-scorers.
Will Graham then led the way in the run chase, smashing 72 while Tom Nelson finished unbeaten on 28.
The win was the Cougars fourth this season.
Ben Calder's five-wicket haul inspired Macquarie against Newtown Gold on Saturday, leading the Blues to their very first win this season.

Newtown Gold had rolled the Blues for less than 100 earlier, with Tim Beckingham (3-11) leading the way, but Calder's demolition job saw the Gold Tigers all out for just 58 in reply.
