Long-distance drives, part and parcel of the Inner Wheel Club experience in Australia, impressed members of the same organisation at Sheffield, Meryl Usback said.
Ms Usback, Inner Wheel Club of Dubbo president, provided the insight to the sister club during her recent visit to Great Britain.
Inner Wheel describes itself is one of the largest women's service voluntary organisations in the world and has international friendship as one of its objectives.
Ms Usback and members of Inner Wheel at Sheffield exchanged information about their respective clubs and districts.
District A50 contains eight clubs - Dubbo, Lithgow, Blayney, Oberon, Bathurst, Orange, Orange Minhi and Cowra.
"Sheffield members were astonished that in Australia members drive more than 200 kilometres to attend meetings," she said.
"Banners from the Inner Wheel Club of Dubbo and District A50 Australia were exchanged, as was a gift of a tea towel from Sheffield."
