After four starts without a win, Skyfall has found career best form since returning from a five-month spell and has recorded two wins and a second in his past three races.
Nestor was in the saddle for the win at Moree last month, scoring by two lengths over 1400m.
This followed on from a win at Tamworth and a second at the same venue in August.
The Dubbo jockey will have two other chances on the day, both for Tamworth trainer Leon Davies.
Nestor will jump from barrier eight in the first race of the day, the Hygain Regain CG&E Maiden Plate (1200m), onboard Fire Red.
The three-year-old gelding has only had one career start, finishing sixth at Davies' earlier this month.
Miss Anna will be Nestor's other run for the day, lining up in the Hygain Tracktorque F&M Maiden Plate (1200m).
Coming off four winning rides at Wellington last week, Greg Ryan will be in the saddle four times today, two of those for trainer Luke Griffith.
He will be up against it on Pine Cone King in the Hygain Fibressential Class 1 Handicap and Maiden Plate (1600m), taking on last start winners Alpresto, Blue Boy Jag and Miss Redlan.
Today's seven-race meeting at Tamworth begins today at 1.45pm.
