Yesterday’s result at Endeavour Oval will ensure a Dubbo v Orange decider, but whether it’s the two-time defending champions or the big surprise packet remains to be seen.
Orange City will be boosted by home-field advantage and the fact they were able to roll past Emus when the two sides met in the qualifying final a fortnight ago.
Roos will also have the week off in third grade after their 20-7 win in a spiteful encounter with Orange City on Saturday booked them a grand final berth.
While the Lions went down in both first and third grades, their path to the second grade grand final has already been secured after they scored a 41-22 win over Dubbo Kangaroos, who will face Orange Emus in this Saturday’s preliminary final.
This Saturday’s preliminary final in the Colts division will pit Bathurst Bulldogs against Parkes, after the Boars put together an impressive all-round performance to beat Dubbo Kangaroos 19-0 in Orange yesterday.
A day prior, Bulldogs were unable to match it with Orange City, who scored a comprehensive 35-9 win.
