The long-standing service has formed a new partnership with Lourdes Hospital and Community Health Service, who as of today will provided the food for the Meals on Wheels clientele.
Dubbo Meals on Wheels service manager Peter English was extremely excited about the new venture.
"We're closing up on a 14 year association with the Dubbo RSL Aged Care Association, who were the previous meal providers," Mr English said.
"It's been a great relationship with all those involved."
To celebrate the National Meals on Wheels Day on August 27, Mr English and his team ran a trial run with the Lourdes Hospital meals to be delivered to clients.
"The meals look great," Mr English said.
"The clients will be surprised with the fact we're now offering soup in the deal, as well as a main and desert for the same price."
Mr English said he hoped this would allow the clientele to be able to use the soup for an evening meal.
"Meals on Wheels would not operate without the dedication of the number of volunteers delivering the meals each day," he said.
