A year 6 student at Dubbo Christian School, Rebekah will compete for Combined Independent Schools (CIS) at the NSW PSSA netball and basketball carnivals.
And she will do it just weeks after injuring an ankle in a training accident.
In early June Rebekah will travel to Menai for the basketball tournament while the netball carnival will be played in Broken Hill at the end of July.
It's a busy time for both Rebekah and her mum Kristy Dallinger.
"This is the second year in a row Rebekah has made these squads and we're hopeful she will perform well at the PSSA carnivals," Kristy said.
"If she does there is the possibility of making the PSSA All Schools teams which would be a great reward for her."
An avid sportsperson, Rebekah has been playing netball since the age of seven and took up basketball not long after that.
She spreads her time between commitments with the Dubbo Rams under-14s as well as netball, where she is versatile enough to cover the wing defence, goal defence and goal keeper positions.
But before she worries about further selection she will need to overcome her ankle complaint.
"She was at representative netball training and rolled her ankle and they put her in a backslab for a while," Kristy Dallinger said.
"She tore a ligament in the ankle last year and we were afraid she'd done the same thing or broken it this time but it appears to only be soft tissue damage which was a huge relief for her."
