The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was on bail for damaging property and entering prescribed lands.
He was not allowed out alone after 6pm according to orders imposed by Dubbo Children's Court.
The boy was brought before Magistrate Andrew Eckhold on a fresh charge of breaching bail.
He sat handcuffed in the court dock as the magistrate heard submissions from a solicitor and an officer from the Orana Juvenile Justice Centre.
The court was told the boy was being supervised by juvenile justice. He was seeing Mission Australia and attending intervention programs offered by UnitingCare Burnside.
Police opposed bail, citing prior breaches of bonds.
"He fled from police and had no regard for court orders,'' the police prosecution said.
"There are real fears he will continue to breach bail.
"He should not be rewarded by the court for breaching curfew.''
Magistrate Eckhold told the boy people would continue to be suspicious of his behaviour because of the charges before the court.
"It is still hot at 6pm and you want to swim at the river,'' the magistrate said.
"You can go out after curfew hours as long as you are with a parent. You can't keep coming to court with breaches of bail.''
Magistrate Eckhold granted bail and extended the boy's curfew from 6pm to 7pm.
The boy will be sentenced on February 11.
