The grass fire is continues to burn near the Correctional Centre and a caravan park however is now under control.
Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire and Rescue Firefighters were on the ground to contain the fire that broke out earlier this evening.
Water bombing aircraft were also used to get the fire under control.
It has so far burnt out 25 hectares of grass land.
The warning for the fire has also been downgraded from emergency warning to watch and act.
Residents are advised to stay aware of the situation and take advice from firefighters on the ground.
