THREE of the fastest dogs in the central west will go head-to-head on Wednesday at Dawson Park's big Boxing Day meeting.

Taros Miss, Miss Charlyn and Miss Sugar Land will light up the track in the Elite State @ Stud Stakes (318m), one of the highlights of a bumper 10-race program that starts at 3.38pm.

Miss Charlyn is likely to start favourite from box six after rocketing to a strong win over the course and distance at her most recent outing on December 12.

On that occasion the Colin Williams-trained bitch jumped well from box four and mustered speed to win in a time of 18.37s, just 0.05s outside of her personal best time.

Four lengths behind in that particular race was Miss Sugar Land, the Graeme Smith-trained El Galo x Tommie's Placard bitch building an imposing record.

From 10 starts she has won three races and been placed on a further five occasions however the defeat to Miss Charlyn was her first attempt at the short course.

Taros Miss is also quite well bred, being by former top-liner Goodesy out of the handy producer Miss Taro.

Jeanette Foley trains the black bitch at Geurie and has won five races from 13 starts with her, with five minor placings thrown in.

From four goes at the Dawson Park 318m she has recorded two wins and two minor placings, and she comes into the race on the back of a third placings over 280m at Wentworth Park on December 14.

The Elite State @ Stud Stakes (318m) will be the fourth race on the program at Dawson Park and will leave the boxes at 4.38pm.

Meanwhile, three heats of the Boxing Day Sprint will be held over the 400m journey.

The first heat will feature the consistent Scrapi Dappi Moo from the Greg Ford kennels, while in the second the Dubbo trainer will be represented by last-start winner Incy Wincy Moo.

The powerful Charmaine Roberts kennels will have Lucy Keeping starting from box seven in the third heat.
