The 12-year-old has done a remarkable job for Rhonda and Barry Lew throughout his career and his start in the Bankstown feature will cap a remarkable feat of the horse competing in a Group One race every season for the past decade, dating back to the NSW Sires Stakes Final in his three-year-old season.
Barry Lew admits he isn't over-confident heading into the race but what he does know is the horse will try his absolute best.
"He's the highest prize money winner without winning a Group One race, why would we want to ruin that?" Lew said.
"Seriously though, the horse is going OK and you have to be in it to win it, so we'll just see what happens.
"It's a strong race with a lot of good horses but we have to put ourselves in there.
"He's drawn awkwardly so all we can do is see how the race pans out."
The Panorama (USA) x Miss Jogalong gelding has raced four times this season, scoring an emotional win in the Don Tildsley Memorial (1700m) at Eugowra before winning again a fortnight later at Menangle.
Two subsequent runs yielded a tough fourth behind Treuer rival Washakie in a 1:51.7 mile rate before a close fifth in a stand-start race behind Roman Stride, both at Menangle.
"We've been trying to run him every two weeks to give him some regular racing but we've had to wait three weeks this time," Lew said.
"I've been keeping the work up to him at home and he has been going well.
"His last couple of runs, even though he hasn't won, have been good and I know he will do us proud again on Saturday, just like he has every other time we've sent him around."
Karloo Mick has drawn barrier seven for the race, meaning he will start on the inside of the second line behind Bathurst-trained pacer Mega Alexander.
Race favourite Washakie, trained by John McCarthy, will start from barrier nine as he searches for his fourth consecutive win in the Treuer.
