Tania Madgwick braved the elements yesterday and sailed into Sportsman’s Warehouse with umbrella in tow just in time to collect a cheque for $500.
Certainly not a selfish pirate, the mother of two boys said they and her first mate would all make good use of the prize money.
“It’s coming towards the end of footy season but I’m sure they’ll find something to spend it on,” she said.
“That and the husband - he’ll probably get his hands on it too.”
But Tania, who almost missed out on the money because she was meant to be in Mudgee for work yesterday, said she’d make sure she got her share of the $500 too.
“I need new netball shoes, especially if we play (today) in the rain.”
Tania was the Daily Liberal’s third winner in this year’s treasure hunt challenge.
