The work of more than 45 local artists will be up for auction on February 9 in the first event in a year-long project raising funds for the implementation of a purpose built Ear Bus.
The bus will travel to each school from Dubbo to Bourke to test, treat and prevent ear health problems such as Otitis Media, which currently affects one in three children.
Art auction organiser Rowena
Galway believes the evening will be an important step in fundraising to ensure that the project is “sustainable for the future”.
With art ranging from watercolour paintings to photography, the auction offers the opportunity to purchase work by well-known local and regional artists, including Brett Garling, John Murray, Kim Goldsmith and Lara Scolari.
