New South Wales police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was found following a house fire over the weekend.

The body, believed to be of a man in his 60s, was found on an isolated property between Woodstock and Wyangala Dam.
A spokesperson for Fire and Rescue NSW said the call came in at 2:19 am on Saturday November 25.
"Fire and Rescue NSW did assist with extinguishment and investigation of the fire. Two trucks, one from Cowra the other from Blayney with duties completed at about 6:30 am," he said.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said officers from Chifley Police District established a crime scene, with specialist police sent to examine the incident.
"An inspection of the property located the body of a man," the statement said.
"The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 60s."

An ignitable liquid detection canine from the fire investigation and research unit was also sent by FRNSW to assist RFS and police with the investigation.
A spokeswoman for the Rural Fire Service said 10 RFS firefighters attended the scene, containing the fire in just under two hours.
Investigations are continuing.
