The world number one defeated Czech Karolina Pliskova in three sets to claim the trophy and achieve her childhood dream.
To celebrate Barty's victory, Paramount Tennis Club Dubbo took to social media on Sunday morning to announce an "Ash Barty appreciation day".

Barty's victory makes her the first Australian woman to win at Wimbledon since Evonne Goolagong Cawley claimed the title for a second time in 1980.
The win on grass is the world number one's second grand slam, having previously claimed the French Open in 2019.
It was a golden day for Australia, with wheelchair tennis champion Dylan Alcott defending his quad singles crown, defeating Dutchman Sam Schroder 6-2 6-2.
