According to artist Marissa Lico the messier and aloof the artwork, the better, and that is the exact message she will be delivering to her Dubbo audience when she visits in the coming weeks.

Over the past year resin artwork has garnered a lot of positive attention from its endless amount of adoring admirers, but for The Art Edit owner, it is an art form she has spent years perfecting.
"Working with resin as a painting medium provides unpredictable movement and outcomes," Miss Lico said.
"You just have to literally, 'go with the flow' and be open to allowing your artwork to do its own thing at times.
"This is part of the fun with abstract art. Sharing this art making process with participants is an exciting experience, as they too are always ecstatic to see and be a part of the making, especially when mixing vibrant colours."
Miss Lico has been visiting Dubbo to run various art workshops since 2018 and believes it is a 'fantastic town that embraces a healthy art community.'
"The Art Edit is based in Bathurst, but I travel throughout NSW to provide these workshops, currently in both Resin Art and Alcohol Ink Art," Miss Lico said.
"Being able to create artworks in a fun-filled environment with new and familiar faces each time I return, is my constant motivation.
"I am an Artist, Photographer and Designer, with a determination to continually grow in my practice after completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts at ANU.
"I am drawn to exploring avenues less travelled and have a desire to create artworks, images and designs that resonate with emotion.
"Experimenting with different mediums and processes on the regular is what led me to resin play over six years ago."
Miss Lico said whether you are a beginner or returning artist, everyone is welcome to participate in her workshops.
"Many choose to come along with their partner, family, friends and even colleagues. All that is required is a willingness to learn as you create a work of art that will be glowing with spontaneity," she said.
"You will be guided through the process with a demonstration of the key techniques followed by the creation of your own artwork."
