The Hear Our Heart Earbus Project is a non-for-profit organisation which provides free ear health education, targeted hearing testing for children in Dubbo and the region. It also gives free access to ear specialists.
Volunteer Priya McDonald said it was a great event.
“We had around 60 children attend who participated in some great dancing and fun games,” she said.
The disco is Hear Our Heart’s biggest fundraising event for the year. About $400 was raised which will help fund hearing tests.
The organisation is not funded by the government. It heavily relies on donations to continue to operate. It costs Heart Our Heart $1500 to fund two days of testing.
It was a hard job to pick the children who were the best dressed. Adele O’Donogue from Sainsbury Automotive presented the prizes to the best dressed.
The event, which was held at St Lawrence’s Primary School hall on Monday night, was for kids from preschool age to 12-years-old.
