Life for the Orana Toy Library committee members has become a little easier thanks to a donation from a local company. Inland Technology donated a scanner to the non-for-profit organisation, and Jessica Simmons said it would allow the committee to upload the membership forms, and keep everything digitally. “We rely on grants and membership fees so we’re very grateful for the donation,” Ms Simmons said. Rob Sweeney, who said he had been involved with the toy library for about six years, said the committee were all volunteers and by having everything online they could access the information more conveniently, without having to physically be at the library. Like a library of books, the toy library allows members to borrow toys.
