YOUNG people were being encouraged to take part in a weekly gaming afternoon organised by headspace Dubbo.

The Game On afternoons had been running since the beginning of term 3, and normally attracted between half a dozen and a dozen participants, facilitator Yvette Mayne said.
Ms Mayne and two other facilitators were studying diplomas in community services at TAFE and enjoyed interacting with the youngsters.
Card games, board games and video games had all been popular with participants, she said.
"It's great because we find the young people get to mix with a range of others they might not normally mix with," Ms Mayne said.
"They're chatting to each other, taking turns, just being around other people, it's great."
Anyone aged 12 to 25 was welcome to join in the sessions, which ran from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoons.
While youngsters were always welcome to drop in, letting headspace Dubbo know ahead of time they planned to attend would allow facilitators to make sure there were plenty of resources to go around on that particular day.
