Bernardi's IGA store manager Glen Manson said the Hear Our Heart Ear Bus Project and the PCYC Youth Foundation were chosen as recipients of the donation because they were the best candidates at the time.
He said the organisations did great work and it was important to support the community.
Hear Our Heart coordinator Donna Rees said the organisation purchased new hearing and testing equipment at the end of last year and the donation would go towards those costs.
"It's a big leap in our 2015 mission to get the Ear Bus on the road," Ms Rees said.
For PCYC assistant manager Matthew Devenish the money will be used to assist the Youth Foundation.
"It will help indigenous youth with their sporting goals.
"We rely solely on donations from the PCYC and other businesses. This donation will help 10 kids play touch football."
The supermarket runs the Community Chest program every year.
A percentage of sales from selected products are donated back to the community.
Ms Rees and Mr Devenish said they were both grateful to Bernardi's IGA for the donations.
