A cocktail party will be held next month to bring locals together for an important cause and raise money for the project.

Hear our Heart committee member Sue Went said there had not been a sum put on the night.

“It’s just a combination of having a good time and raising money,” she said.

A $45 ticket will include a welcome drink and canapés, as well as multiple prizes up for grabs.

One organisation assisting the party and Hear our Heart group is The Good Guys Dubbo.

Owner Rodney Sparrow has been supporting the Ear Bus Project as the store’s Local Giving Program since July last year and has so far raised close to $6000.

“This vital organisation is an important asset in our community, providing assistance to those who need it,” Mr Sparrow said.

“The organisation is in its early stages and needs the cash flow, so it’s important that they receive support,” Mr Sparrow said.

The Good Guys Local Giving Program sees a percentage of every transaction at The Good Guys donated to community organisations, including Hear our Heart Ear Bus Project.

The organisation has seen generous donations totalling $50,000 since the group’s inception in 2011.

Ms Went said that money was within their target and hoped the goodwill would continue.

The Christmas in July cocktail party will be held at the Milestone Hotel from 7pm on Saturday, July 27.
