Rides catering for the full spectrum of visitors, from the completely fearful to utterly fearless, are taking shape in sideshow alley, ready to entertain showgoers of all ages.
The Power Surge was expected to appeal to those who like their rides on the scary side.
When the Daily Liberal visited the Showground yesterday, Shane Langford and Bradlee Farrer were among the operators busy scrubbing the ride to prepare it for its sparkling debut at the Dubbo Show.
Mr Langford said after being strapped in, the ride would take thrillseekers "65 feet high as they circled up into the air", set to a backdrop of thumping music.
"I love the atmosphere of the show and seeing people have a good time," he said.
Bradlee Farrer said he had worked as a show ride operator for about eight years and loved the opportunity it gave him to travel to different places and meet different people.
Like the Power Surge, it was Mr Farrer's first trip to Dubbo and he looked forward to entertaining the local crowds from tomorrow through to Sunday.
