A MAN slashed with a knife during a terrifying attack inside a caravan is recovering after an alleged attempted murder at Wellington.

The 61-year-old sustained wounds to his neck and leg at 1.15am on Saturday.
Police said the caravan was parked at Macquarie Stud, on the western outskirts of the town.
Emergency services were alerted after the man made his way to a nearby homestead.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Wellington hospital.
A 32-year-old man and 17-year-old girl were arrested following a police investigation.
Timothy James Kiernan, 32, of Parkes, was brought before Dubbo Local Court in handcuffs yesterday.
He sat impassively in the dock dressed in a black polo shirt and shorts.
No pleas were entered to charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder and special aggravated break and enter with intent to wound.
The strictly indictable charges were adjourned to Wellington Local Court on February 11.
Magistrate Andrew Eckhold ordered the prosecution to complete a brief of evidence by January 29.
Kiernan did not not apply for bail which was formally refused by the court.
The 17-year-old girl from Wellington was brought before Dubbo Children's Court on charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder and special aggravated break and enter with intent to wound.
The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.
She sat in the corner of the dock dressed in jeans and a hooded jumper.
No pleas were entered and there was no application for bail.
The charges were adjourned to Wellington Children's Court on February 11.
The court was told a potential bail application could be made via video link at Wellington Children's Court on Tuesday.
Juvenile Justice officers handcuffed the girl as she was led from the court.
The case continues.
