Any losing betting ticket taken through bookmaker Mark Reynolds on Saturday will go into a barrel draw for the money and there are other good prizes on offer.
Second prize is one night of accommodation in a two bedroom apartment at Quest Apartments, while the third prize is a $200 IGA voucher from IGA West Dubbo.
Mr Reynolds came up with the idea as a way of giving something back and said he was pleased that other businesses also opted to come on board.
"If someone has a bet and they lose, they have a chance of getting something back. Henry and Denise [Jom] from IGA West Dubbo and Daniel [Burton] and the team from Quest Apartments had no hesitation in getting on board and I hope Dubbo people will support Dubbo businesses," he said.
"It should be a good meeting. The track looks good at the moment, probably the best I have seen it.
"It's been a lot of hard work for Mark [Day, Dubbo Turf Club general manager] getting it right, they had some problems with it early in the piece but it's racing really well now."
Mr Day paid tribute to Mr Reynolds for creating a promotion that helped the club and the day, which is the largest one-day event on the Dubbo calendar.
"Rex is very supportive of the club and he's come along to this and said he would like to contribute," he said.
"This is an important day for us. We do our best to put on a good show and it is looking good again this year."
Both Burton and Jom said they were happy to come on board with the competition and are looking forward to a fantastic day.
