The club's general manager Mark Day said Dubbo Derby Day in 2013 would be as big as any other year.
An increase in novelty attractions will add to the fun, something Mr Day said was important in creating an all-round fun atmosphere.
"It's the biggest day on our social calendar... we're on track," he said.
"This year we have a Bundaberg distillery, an attraction for their 100th anniversary, and XXXX Island with the chance to play shuttleboard and win a $20,000 prize."
The black-and-white dress code, adopted to follow the Melbourne Derby Day tradition, is still in force.
Mr Day said it was an element of the event that was becoming lost on the young, which was disappointing.
"Something with tradition is something to be treasured," he said.
"People do go for it, but in their late teens it goes away; ladies 25 and up are more likely to stick to the black and white.
"Maybe one day there could be a competition for black-and-white shop displays, it's been great seeing some so far."
For up to 6000 attendees, Mr Day said that would not stop the interest in Myer's Fashions on the Field.
"Last year we had 126 entrants," he said.
He said while the club was still looking for bar staff to cater to patrons, it looked forward to presenting an exciting Derby Day.
