Both Western Opens and Under 15s teams were selected after trials held at Peak Hill.
Marks will be joined by prop Jake Josephs, second-rower Andrew Madden and replacement Ben Josephs from Dubbo in the 15-man squad to be coached by Tony Tilburg from Blayney High School.
From the Coonabarabran game Greater Western teams will be selected to attend the NSW CHS trials at Myuna Bay at Newcastle on May 21-23, leading into NSWCHS teams for the Australian Schoolboys Championships.
Three Dubbo players have made the Under 15 Western side - Brad Spencer (Dubbo Senior College) has been named in the centres, Josh Merritt (South Campus) at five-eighth and Steve Harris (Dubbo Senior College) in the second-row. Ben Gregory from Mudgee is the coach.
Schools rugby league convenor John van der Reyden from Peak Hill Central School said the Western selection trials created some good football.
"The 15 years game between Eastern and Western Division was very even with both teams scoring four tries," van der Reyden said.
"Then in the Opens game Eastern scored six tries to three and once again the selectors had a hard job picking a squad because of the talent on show.
"I would also like to compliment the efforts put in by the two referees for the games, Chris Salcole and Willy Barnes."
Under 15s scorers: (Western) Josh Merritt (Dubbo South), Bobby Read (Peak Hill Central), Riley Cape (Narromine) and Eric Fernando (Delroy Campus); (Eastern) Andrew Mendes (Bathurst), Jackson Coote (Orange), Jesse Jenkins (Canowindra), Trent Lay (Orange).
Opens scorers: (Western) Isaac Dargin (Condobolin), Ben Josephs (Dubbo Senior Campus), Aaron Denzel (Cowra); (Eastern): Lee McClintock 2 (Cowra), Brent Seager (Bathurst), Cameron Guihot (Canowindra), Nathan Mossman (Cowra), Matthew Clarkson (Mudgee).
Special guests at the selection trials were Craig Young from the St George-Illawarra Dragons, Ray Montgomery (a life member of Australian Schoolboys RL) and Steve McLellan (CRL Academy).
"Craig Young spoke to the boys at the conclusion of each game, congratulating them on their efforts and giving an insight to what is required to reach higher levels in the game," John van der Reyden said.
"Dragons gear and shirts from the NSWRL Academy with compliments of Wayne Portlock were presented by Craig to players adjudged top performers on the day.
"Those players being Josh Merritt, Jackson Coote, Jesse Jenkins and Steve Harrison in the under 15s and Opens players Aaron Denzel, Sterling Seijka, Andrew Madden and Lee McClintock."
