Two sections within the academy have been created in order to focus on particular skills for particular age groups.
The junior academy will comprise participants ranging in age groups from within under-12s and bottom aged under-14s.
The senior academy will comprise participants from under-16s and top age under-14s.
Both sections of the academy will be conducted by experienced coaches working under the direction of the association's director of coaching.
The aims of the program are to develop, educate and improve participant's skills as well as helping to develop coaching skills.
The sessions will be open to Dubbo coaches where they will act as assistants to help improve their coaching.
A final aim of the program is to provide a stepping stone from local levels to elite programs such as the Western Region Academy.

The score sheet between the Revvin Rabbits and Lesleys Angels in division 5 was dominated by Hayden Storch.
Storch scored more than half of his team's points while the other game in this division was between Carpet Choice Snaps and Kingz.
The Snaps showed why they are undefeated with a convincing win against their opponents.
Patrick Northey had a strong game for his team as did Briony Egan and Elliot Klaassens.

Western League experience has certainly helped the younger Stevo Strikers from division 3-4.
Michael Townsend and Martin Roberts converted their scoring opportunities to help their team beat KES Old School.
Tom West is in great form and led from the front as the Beaurepaire Woogies were too strong for the Rabbitoes.
West was supported by Glen Turner and Angus Caswell.
The Rabbitoes continue to improve with each visit to the court and its great to see newcomers James Patterson and Sam Gammell developing a determined attitude.
After one quarter of the game between the Red Devils and the undefeated Purple People Eaters it appeared an upset could be on the cards.
But when Liz and Jess Toomey started converting their chances it was enough to help the People Eaters to another win.

Winners in division 2 were Seaimpin, Bullfrogs and Bright Sparkes.
The talents of Jordan Morrow were on display as Seaimpin finished all over the Yum Yum Bar Angels.
Rachael Ah See also had a strong game and Courtney Chatfield seems to be relishing the opportunity of playing at this level.
Bullfrogs continue to lead this division with a solid win against the Bunkers.
Alex Buttrey had a strong defensive game and Bunkers were held scoreless in the first quarter.
With the talented Caitlyn Colliver directing play for the Bullfrogs, their experience was too much for Bunkers.
Matt Brown's return to the Bright Sparkes was a bonus.
Holly May and Peta Powyer combined their talents with Brown to beat the new-look Cruisers.

Tim Rheinberger and Luke Gaiter had solid games for the TBirds who started well but it was not their night.
Mitch Ipkendanz had a great night for Bellmac and was strongly supported by Liam Morrow.

The association wishes to advise players that they must be in correct uniform with their shirts tucked in.
Referees have been instructed to issue warnings to players and teams.
All referees must be in uniform wearing black pants and Rams referees' shirts.
It is also the referee's responsibility to check and sign off on all score sheets.
If there is a suspected forfeit, referees must be on court and available for the first quarter if they expect to be paid for these games.
