Rose Wake nee Broughton and Josie Anderson are taking part in the Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer fundraiser in May.
They were winners of the blue Showgirl sash in 2017 and 2018 respectively and joined the committee staging the annual Dubbo Show.
In the 2019 Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer they've found an avenue to do more for the community and deliver a novel event.
The pair are planning the Dubbo Showgirl Honour Roll High Tea on May 5 as their fundraiser for Cancer Council NSW.

It will bring together Dubbo Showgirls from across the eras for the first time.
Families of Showgirls, show volunteers and other community members are also welcome.
Miss Anderson, who will represent Dubbo at The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl competition next week, was enthusiastic about their fundraising mission.
"Rose and I as past Showgirls have been asked to be part of Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer," she said.
"So opportunities you might not associate with Showgirl do crop up because of your involvement.
"We decided to run a Dubbo Showgirl Honour Roll Event, so it's the first event, it's in the form of a high tea, which we thought was appropriate for our group, and everybody is invited to that as well."
Acceptances from past Dubbo Showgirls are already flowing in, including from Phillipa Bragg won the honour in 1970.
"She is travelling from Sydney to be part of our event on May 5, so that's really exciting, it's lovely," Miss Anderson said.
The reigning Dubbo Showgirl encouraged young women aged 18 to 23 to enter this year's competition.
Entries close on May 10.
