Dubbo Regional Council designed it as an "inclusive play space" for people of all abilities, council recreation and open space manager Ian McAlister said.
"It's inclusive both for disability, but also intergenerational," he said.
"For example, this area here, this is a senior fitness area and we've got one of the largest retirement villages just across the road.
"We wanted to try and entice people from that area to come across here as well.
"So you'll have the grandparents using the space, you'll have mum and dad potentially having a cup of coffee at the kiosk when we get that up and running and the kids will be playing in the playground..."

Mr McAlister was pleased to see the team effort come to fruition.
"I honestly don't think there's another one like it in the region, there are other adventure playgrounds, but the equipment we've used, we've brought that in from WA, as well, so nearly everything here is bespoke, and it really adds to that uniqueness to this whole playground," he said.
The attraction has a natural look.
"What we tried to really do is make it as green as possible," Mr McAlister said.
"We've used the existing trees in the area as well, which gives us a really big headstart in providing that shade.
"We didn't want to have artificial shade structures all through this area, I think it's really nice to have the natural shade.
"I think we've planted somewhere about 1200 plants in here as well, so as those trees grow up, the shade will also increase."
