More than 200 pre-1985 cars took their place before the outdoor big screen, organisers said.
People had travelled from the Central Coast, the Gold Coast, near Canberra, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, Parkes, Forbes, Orange, Mudgee, Narromine, to attend, along with local people.
“It was a great atmosphere, everyone got into the spirit of the event,”Dubbo Cars and Coffee organiser Owen De Carle said.
“It had a real carnival atmosphere.
“Everyone had an absolute ball.”
Mr De Carle said another movie event between the two groups was on the cards for next year.
The next morning vehicles of all ages were on show at the Dubbo Cars and Coffee regular meet in Victoria Park.
“It’s been great morning down here, lovely weather and a great turnout of cars,” Mr De Carle said.
“It just amazes me the amount of cars that are in Dubbo that come out of the sheds, plus all the out-of-towners this weekend.”
Dubbo Westview Drive-In’s March weekend of movies concludes on Sunday night with a screening of A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
Ticket information is available on the drive-in’s website.
