Chamber president Matt Wright said moves by the airline to reduce services into and out of the city would be “disappointing”.
Schedules indicate QantasLink will cut up to six flights locally, Dubbo Regional Council has reported.
The Daily Liberal understands the carrier is making the move across its regional network to deal with pilot shortage challenges.
Mr Wright said the chamber was waiting to get confirmation about timetable changes and would be particularly concerned about the loss of early morning flights to Sydney.
He said they understood some Qantas representatives were “due out here” in about a fortnight and the chamber had plans to meet with them, perhaps with council officers, to express its concerns.
The chamber had a good relationship with QantasLink, and its chief John Gissing had previously been a guest speaker at a chamber breakfast, Mr Wright said.
“John’s very familiar with Dubbo, he had a great working relationship with the previous mayor so he’ll understand the plight of Dubbo and especially the Dubbo business community,” he said.
