The Black Dog Ride 1 Dayer will be held on March 18, raising money for Lifeline Central West. But on Sunday, a barbecue will be held at Bunnings Dubbo where donations can be made and people can register for the event.
A few motorbikes will also be on display.
Black Dog Ride Dubbo/NSW coordinator Wayne Amor said riders would still be able to register on the day of the ride, but it could mean they miss out on a chance to have a coffee, breakfast and a chat.
It was also cheaper to pre-register, he said.
Those who register before March 9 will go into the running to win an Indian Bobber Motorcycle, valued at $20,000.
Black Dog Ride’s annual 1 Dayer aims to start a conversation about depression and suicide prevention. The event has been held in Dubbo since 2010.
Last year, 300 people took part in the event, which was an all-time record, Mr Amor said.
On March 18, riders are expected to come from areas such as Mendooran and Gilgandra for the 1 Dayer. The motorbikes will hit the road a little earlier this year at 9am, leaving from the Macquarie Inn.
Under the early bird price, riders are $30 to register and pillons are $15.
